NTK/BSK Health Guarantee Terms and Conditions
Badger State Kennel LLC(BSK) & Northwoods Training Kennel LLC(NTK) does not and will not knowingly sell a sick puppy. All puppies are vet checked between the ages of 6-8 weeks by a veterinarian before going to new homes and before being entered into any of our training programs. We recommend that the new owners (signees) take the new puppy to a veterinarian within 7 days of purchase to assure the puppy is of sound health and free of serious health or genetic problems. If the puppy has been found to have any serious health issues that are of genetic fault, or a condition established prior to picking the puppy up from the breeder, the signee can bring the puppy back to Badger State Kennel/Northwoods Training Kennel and receive a FULL refund with a written statement from the veterinarian and confirmation from our veterinarian. We do reserve the right for a second opinion. INJURIES OR ACCIDENTS THAT OCCUR TO THE PUPPY AFTER LEAVING BSK/NTK WOULD NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND AND THEREFORE CONSIDER THE HEALTH WARRENTY NULL AND VOID.
To ensure our promise to healthy puppies, we provide the following 26-month health guarantee (“Guarantee”) for all puppies. All puppies from Badger State Kennel LLC & Northwoods Training Kennel LLC are guaranteed to be unaffected by Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercised Induced Collapse (EIC), and Skeletal Dysplasia (SD2). Puppies are also guaranteed to pass Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (“OFA”) score (fair, good, or excellent) for hips and elbows up to 26 months of age. Eyes are also guaranteed to pass CERF eye exam up to 26 months of age and receive an OFA eye number. BSK/NTK’s guarantee covers affected dogs, NOT carriers. If you do not want a pup that is a carrier, please choose a litter by both parents that are clear. Carriers DO NOT experience symptoms and you will not have any issues because the puppy is a carrier. If any puppy purchased from Badger State Kennel/Northwoods Training Kennel fails to meet the health qualifications above at anytime up to 26 months of age, contact BSK/NTK IMMEDIATELY. We value a strong working relationship with you and your pup. We can’t help or fulfill the guarantee if we are not informed of any issues you are having. BSK/NTK requires first option to take the puppy or dog back if you are no longer to care for or keep the dog. We are not required to refund you what you paid for the puppy or any expenses acquired if you surrender the puppy or dog to Badger State Kennels LLC & Northwoods Training Kennel LLC.
Registration: Our puppies come with limited registration, but the owner can obtain full registration if he/she provides OFA Eye number and a clear certificate, OFA elbow score of Normal, OFA hip score of Good or Excellent, a full genetic panel for puppy buyer assurance, proof of working ability (not just a pet) and provide you have stud options that are British Labradors. We are here to help you and support you but do not condone unethical breeding practices. Badger State Kennel LLC & Northwoods Training Kennel LLC also reserves the right to refuse registration transfer of Limited to Full for any reason.
IF my vet confirms your vet’s diagnosis, BSK/NTK offers you one of these options:
- Keep the puppy you originally purchased with the defect, provide proof from the veterinarian that you spayed/neutered the dog, and BSK/NTK will offer you a replacement puppy of equal value of the original puppy purchased or apply the credit towards a trained dog. BSK/NTK does not offer a refund of monies as replacement. If you choose a puppy of greater value than the original puppy you are required to pay the difference. The replacement credit does not expire.
- If your dog requires euthanasia due to a genetic defect that we cover, BSK/NTK will offer you a replacement puppy of equal value of the original puppy purchased or apply the credit towards a trained dog. BSK/NTK does not offer a refund of monies as replacement. If you choose a puppy of greater value than the original puppy you are required to pay the difference. The replacement credit does not expire.
- Return the defected puppy/dog to BSK/NTK, and BSK/NTK will offer you a replacement puppy of equal value of the original puppy purchased or apply the credit towards a trained dog. BSK/NTK does not offer a refund of monies as replacement. If you choose a puppy of greater value than the original puppy you are required to pay the difference. The replacement credit does not expire.
- This guarantee is only covering the puppy. We are not liable for reimbursement for any additional costs such as but not limited to any training, diagnostic fees, veterinary care, travel expenses, or specialty care.
In order for your puppy’s health guarantee to be VALID the following conditions must be met but are not limited to:
- Puppy is in possession of original owner/purchaser. This warranty does not transfer to another buyer or third party.
- Puppy must be in sound, healthy condition and not neglected and be examined by a qualified veterinarian, ophthalmologist, or DNA interpretation lab.
- Puppies CANNOT be fed grain free food or a complete raw diet.
- CANNOT be neutered or spayed prior to 24 months of age or prior to OFA screening.
- Pup has not been bred.
- The dog must not be overweight. We won’t guarantee dogs that are obese.
- Puppy doesn’t show signs of injury to the hips, elbows, or any other issues.
- We don’t remove dew claws for various reasons. IF the buyer chooses to remove the dew claws, it will make the entire guarantee NULL and VOID.
- The guarantee is only to be used once.
